Ronda Rousey opens up as betting favorite against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207

Ronda Rousey may be coming off a devastating loss last November, but she’s also one of the most dominant fighters of all time and the odds reflect as much as Rousey opened up as -280 favorite against Amanda Nunes.

Rousey will battle Nunes on Dec. 30 at UFC 207 in what will be her first appearance in the Octagon in over a year. Before the loss to Holm, Rousey had won 12 straight fights, all by way of submission or knockout, while racking up five consecutive Performance Bonuses for her efforts.

Considering her resume, it’s no surprise that Rousey opened as the favorite, but the odds are much closer than any of her other fights. Rousey was a -360 against Sara McMann at UFC 170, a -900 against Alexis Davis at UFC 175, a -660 against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 and a -1700 versus Bethe Correia.

Nunes sits at +220 according to the odds from MMAOddsBreaker.com. She’s won four straight fights, three of which have come in the first round, including a vicious first-round beatdown of Miesha Tate at UFC 200.
