There was a lot of mutual respect shared between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor after their five round battle came to a close at UFC 202 last Saturday night.

Of course it didn't take long for the rivalry to heat back up again.

Diaz took to Twitter on late Monday night to drop a message clearly aimed at McGregor after he celebrated his majority decision win over the former "Ultimate Fighter" winner.

As soon as the decision was read after the 25-minute fight was over, Diaz could be seen saying "what the (expletive)?" in the cage as he had to watch McGregor begin his celebration.

"I didn't think for a second that I lost," Diaz said in the immediate aftermath following the fight. "I thought I won the fight at least three rounds to two if we're judging by rounds. I think he did a lot of running away that in the old days or in a real fight I think you get pointed for or in boxing you'd get pointed for it, so I think they should have taken a point away from him for running."

McGregor actually paid Diaz several compliments after their latest fight while also stating that if and when they meet for a third time, the bout will be contested at 155 pounds following back-to-back bouts at welterweight.

Unfortunately, Diaz won't get the chance to avenge his loss any time soon after UFC president Dana White confirmed that McGregor is moving onto a new opponent for his next fight and a trilogy would have to wait.

Diaz has already said he's not fighting again until he gets a third crack at McGregor — and considering the payday he received for the rematch, chances are he can afford to sit on the sidelines for now.
