Mark Hunt believes that Brock Lesnar was told of their UFC 200 fight before him

Mark Hunt has already been vocal about the corruption and unfairness of his UFC 200 opponent Brock Lesnar getting a pass on months of ordinarily required USADA drug-testing. Now, the "Super Samoan" is saying that he also believes Lesnar was told by the UFC that he’d be fighting Hunt long before Hunt himself was made aware of the match up, allowing the returning former heavyweight champ more time to prepare for the July 9 contest.

"I think [Lesnar] has been training a lot longer than people seem to presume he’s been training," Hunt recently told Ariel Helwani.

"He probably knew a long time ago about this match."

Though that is a serious charge of unfairness against the promotion, such practices have always been common among fight promoters. In fact, Hunt’s old promoter, Pride, routinely operated in such a manner, according to fighters.

"I heard about [the UFC 200 match up with Lesnar at] the same time as everybody else did, pretty much," he claimed.

"I actually guessed it was probably Brock a long time ago. I guessed it was him, but I was just told to stay ready for UFC 200. I didn’t realize it was Brock Lesnar until someone actually mentioned it, and I was like, ‘oh wow.’ But I pretty much found out it was confirmed at the same time as everyone else did."

Still, Hunt is looking forward to fighting Lesnar, and believes he can come out with a win. "I’ve got a good couple weeks to get into it and then it’s fight week," he continued.

"So, my guys are just coming into town now and looking forward to getting their work done."

Hunt isn’t pretending to know how, exactly, he and Lesnar’s fight will go. He does, however, have an ideal scenario that he’d like to see play out.

"I don’t know, to be honest," he admitted.

"I mean, I’m hoping he comes in like a crazy man and then I put him to sleep. That’s basically what I hope is going to happen. But I don’t think he’s that stupid. I think he’s going to be a bit smarter and test the waters first, but we’ll see what happens on the night."
