Marc Diakiese destroys Teemu Packalen with brutal one-punch KO

Marc Diakiese added another highlight to his resume on Saturday in London when he absolutely blasted Teemu Packalen with a single punch that put a stop to their contest just 30 seconds into the first round.

Diakiese has become one of the most talked about prospects on the UFC roster since joining the organization last year.

The British lightweight is best known for his flashy style inside the cage and he wasted no time throwing several spin kicks as soon as he met Packalen in the middle of the Octagon.

Once Diakiese got his opponent's timing down, he waited for Packalen to step forward and that's when he unloaded a hellish right hand that landed flush on the chin.

Packalen was knocked unconscious immediately after the punch landed before tumbling to the ground as the referee rushed in to stop the fight before he could take any more damage.

"I’ve been saying it all week and I’ll say it again. That was easy work," Diakiese said after the win. "I’m one of the best and I will keep proving it. I’m training at one of the best gyms and I just keep proving that I am one of the best out there. I want to be fighting on the main card next.

"Being on the prelims is no good for me. I want to be fighting bigger names. I’m interested in fighting on the Sweden card in May and then put me on the Glasgow card in July. Whoever is next, I will be ready."

Diakiese now moves to 12-0 in his career and 3-0 in the UFC and if he keeps putting on performances like the one he had on Saturday, there will be plenty of main card spots for him in the future.
