It appears the long talked about fight between former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic may finally become a reality as the pair are likely to meet at the upcoming UFC Fight Night on FOX card in December.
According to a report from UFC Tonight’s Ariel Helwani, discussions are ongoing to match up dos Santos against Miocic for the show taking place in Phoenix, Arizona on December 13.
The fight hasn’t been finalized yet, but all signs are pointing towards the bout taking place.

Dos Santos and Miocic were originally scheduled to meet in May, but the Brazilian suffered a hand injury that forced him out of the matchup. Miocic stayed on the card and knocked out Fabio Maldonado just seconds into the first round to get his third win in a row.
Now the Ohio native will take a huge step forward in the division as he faces the former heavyweight champion in his first fight since falling to Cain Velasquez for the second time last October.
Dos Santos is looking to rebound after suffering a crushing defeat to Velasquez, but make no mistake, he remains one of the most feared heavyweights on the UFC roster.
While the fight between Dos Santos and Miocic appears to be a done deal, UFC officials have yet to comment on the bout or decide if this fight could serve as the five-round main event for the show coming up in December on FOX.
