Joanna Jedrzejczyk is ready to return to action as she looks to defend her strawweight title for the fifth consecutive time.
UFC officials confirmed to FOX Sports that Jedrzejczyk will face Jessica Andrade on May 13 at UFC 211 in Dallas, Tex.
FOX Sports had previously reported that the fight between Jedrzejczyk and Andrade was in the works for the upcoming card in May but now it’s official as the champion has inked the contract for the bout.

Jedrzejczyk returned to the United States just recently to begin her next training camp at American Top Team in Florida before flying to Las Vegas on Wednesday to meet with UFC president Dana White to lock down her next fight.
Jedrzejczyk last defended her belt against fellow Polish strawweight Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 205 in New York this past December. Now she’ll face one of the fiercest fighters in the 115-pound division as Andrade looks for her third straight win since moving to the strawweight division.
After starting her UFC career as a bantamweight, Andrade moved down to strawweight last year and racked up a pair of impressive victories over Jessica Penne and Joanne Calderwood before a ‘Fight of the Night’ performance against former Invicta FC champion Angela Hill earlier this month in Houston.
Now Andrade will try to wrestle the title away from Jedrzejczyk, who enters the fight as one of the most dominant champions on the UFC roster since winning the belt from Carla Esparza in 2015.
