Gegard Mousasi calls out former champ Chris Weidman for ducking him

Gegard Mousasi is looking for a fight with Chris Weidman, but he can't seem to get the former middleweight champion to respond.

Mousasi went on the offensive on Twitter on Tuesday while calling out Weidman for not accepting a fight that he says the UFC offered days ago.

Sources speaking to FOX Sports confirmed that a potential bout between Mousasi and Weidman has been proposed, but obviously at this point it's far from a done deal.

"UFC offered you the fight days ago, Chris Weidman, suddenly you have disappeared," Mousasi wrote. "Accept the fight already. I am waiting, pal."

Mousasi then closed off his post with the hash tag "don't be scared" as he takes aim at the former middleweight champion for not taking the fight with him yet.

Mousasi has been on a tear of late, reeling off four straight wins, including three by knockout or TKO with victories over former UFC champion Vitor Belfort and former "Ultimate Fighter" finalist Uriah Hall.

Now the veteran middleweight is looking to take a step up in competition to face somebody in the top five at 185-pounds, but Mousasi can't seem to find a dance partner willing to fight him.

As of yet, Weidman hasn't responded to Mousasi's public call out.
