Add another local favorite to the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Albuquerque as top rated prospect Erik Perez will return to action on the June 7 card when he faces former Ultimate Fighter contender Bryan Caraway in a bantamweight matchup.

UFC officials confirmed the new fight to FOX Sports on Monday.

Perez (14-5) trains out of the Team Greg Jackson/Mike Winkeljohn gym in Albuquerque along with teammates Rustam Khabilov, John Dodson and Diego Sanchez, who will all be fighting on the upcoming UFC show on June 7 as well.

Originally hailing from Mexico, Perez has brought an exciting style to his fights in the UFC thus far while boasting a 4-1 record overall. To get to the next level of the division, he’s going to have to go through a veteran competitor also looking for a chance to crack the top 10 in the near future.

Bryan Caraway (18-6) gets back in the Octagon for the first time in over a year when he returns in June.  The former WEC alum took time off last year to help his girlfriend and former title contender Miesha Tate coach The Ultimate Fighter season 18 before an injury subsided him from making his own return in February.

Now with his body back to full health, Caraway will get back in the cage with hopes of building on his 3-1 record in the UFC when he faces Perez in June.

The UFC Fight Night card on June 7 will feature a five-round main event pitting former lightweight champion Benson Henderson against Russian standout Rustam Khabilov in the main event.  The show will air in the United States on FOX Sports 1.
