Conor McGregor has become the biggest name in combat sports after defeating Eddie Alvarez to add the lightweight title to his featherweight strap. He continues to break pay-per-view records, making him a veritable cash cow for the promotion.
Evidenced by the cross-over success of former UFC heavyweight and former WWE champion Brock Lesnar, a market could be developing for McGregor's services in professional wrestling.

“He could come over, he’s got it all, man,” Paul Levesque, aka Triple H, told the Daily Telegraph after the Madison Square Garden event. “He’s got the personality, the skills, the talk. He’s an entertainer, for sure.”
McGregor has famously belittled the WWE over years, calling it fake and claiming the UFC is the real deal. It appears that money talks and his tune could be changing.
“I think it’s all about business, man,” McGregor’s agent, Audie Attar, said on ESPN's 5ive Round Podcast. “If [WWE] is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people — which is me. We can have a conversation.”
Earlier this year McGregor verbally attacked the entire WWE roster on social media, calling them derogatory terms and suggesting Lesnar was abusing steroids. But that aside, if there is anyone who appreciates making more money, it's McGregor.
“It’s ultimately like, look — I think Conor had his say via social media at times, but he also is someone that appreciates people that sacrifice and train and are dedicated to their craft, whatever it may be,” said Attar. “Again, I think ultimately Conor will say, ‘Let me talk to my friend Benjamin [Franklin] to see how many of his friends he’s bringing with him before we talk about what the obligations are.' ”
At WrestleMania 31, former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made a brief appearance alongside The Rock that was one of the highlights of the show. Boxers Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have participated in the WWE in the past. The WWE no doubt realizes it could capitalize on McGregor's star power. Whether it happens remains to be seen.
