Not competitive in Perth defeat Christian lost to Junior Tafa via KO (strikes) at 2:42 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Perth, Australia.

Impact Christian is now two fights into his UFC career, having been submitted by Billy Elekana in Round 1 in his debut in November and knocked out by Tafa here, an opponent that entered with a 1-4 mark in his past five fights. Christian did a nice job of working over Tafa's lead leg, but his stand-up defense was nowhere to be found and he was eventually dropped and finished after a pair of wild blows found the mark. Most UFC fighters are given three chances with the company regardless of how badly their tenure starts, but Christian could easily be an exception to the rule.

Looks to bounce back vs. Tafa Christian will take on Junior Tafa in a heavyweight bout at UFC Perth on May 2, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Christian was quickly defeated in his first UFC bout, falling at the hands of Billy Elekana. Interestingly enough, his next opponent Tafa also lost to Elekana in his most recent fight. Tafa should be a desperate opponent, as he's lost two straight and sits at 2-5 in the UFC.

Quickly finished in UFC debut Christian lost to Billy Elekana via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Impact Making his official UFC debut after earning a contract on Dana White's Contender Series 13-plus months ago, Christian didn't show much. He was dropped by a huge right hand from Elekana and was eventually caught face down in a rear-naked choke. Christian was apparently tapping immediatley, but referee Chris Tognoni was out of position and didn't see it. Instead, he ended up going to sleep. At 6-foot-7, Christian is the tallest light heavyweight on the roster, but there still doesn't appear to be much to be excited about moving forward.

Set to fight Nov. 1 Christian is scheduled to compete against Billy Elekana in a light heavyweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Nov. 1, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.

Impact The 30-year-old will return to the Octagon over a year after earning an official UFC contract in Dana White's Contender Series, where he defeated Francesco Mazzeo via submission (armbar) with 4:17 remaining in the second round. Christian holds a 9-2 professional record and is riding a six-fight winning streak.
