Longtime bantamweight contender Urijah Faber called in to the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani to talk about UFC 189 and his altercation with Conor McGregor.
After the UFC 189 weigh-ins, rumors began to spread that Faber and McGregor were engaged in a confrontation, before video emerged showing the two fighters jawing back and forth and shoving each other. But questions remained as to what exactly started the quarrel.
Faber’s explanation (below) clears things up a bit, but we’re sure McGregor won’t let the Team Alpha Male fighter get the last word.

The two are scheduled to coach opposite each other durng the new season of "The Ultimate Fighter" but will not fight at the finale. The upcoming season will pit eight American fighters against eight European fighters, with McGregor and Faber trying to lead their best fighter to a UFC contract.
The season starts Sept. 9 and will air on FOX Sports 1.
