Luke Rockhold -- what do you think, ladies?

UFC middleweight contender Luke Rockhold fights Lyoto Machida in April for the right to move toward a 185-pound title shot, but his next fight seems to be Thursday night against Patti Stanger, on "Millionaire Matchmaker." The former Strikeforce champion has signed up to let Stanger find him true love on reality television (shut up, it happens), and based on the trailer below, has his hands full convincing her that he won’t play with these poor women’s hearts.

We also had our doubts, so we reached out to the American Kickboxing Academy product and asked whether this is all a PR stunt or if he signed up for "Millionaire Matchmaker" to truly find a wife. "Yeah, no comment," he laughs.

"I never close the door, and I keep my eyes open. It’s hard to say because I think to myself that I want to settle down in the back of my head, and then I slap myself and think, ‘What the hell was I doing?’"

Rockhold admits that he and Patti had their rocky moments during the filming of his episode, which airs on Thursday night on Bravo, but believes that it all should at least make for good television. "The way it all went down, I was a little nervous to get on Patti’s good side," he says.

"The episode had its ups and downs, and it’s definitely going to get interesting. We turn the tables a bit."

After surviving "Millionaire Matchmaker," Rockhold will then turn his attention to fighting "The Dragon" at April 18’s UFC on FOX main event in New Jersey. "I’ve never been more excited for a fight," he tells us.

For Rockhold, there is one downside to fighting someone he respects as much as the former light heavyweight champion, however. "I want to promote the fight, but he’s a respectful guy, so it’s hard to talk [expletive] about him."

That said, the 30-year-old has all the motivation he needs for the bout because of the stakes. "I don’t see how they couldn’t give the winner of this fight a title shot," he says.

"We’re definitely the two most deserving."

And, respectful or not, Rockhold doesn’t plan on holding anything back in pursuit of that goal. "I’m going to beat Lyoto," he promises.

"That’s what’s going to happen."
