Federer had a much better seat than Djokovic at Friday’s Heat game
There are few better stops for players on the ATP and WTA tours than the Sony Open Tennis in Key Biscayne. The combination of beautiful South Florida weather, plenty to do, a day off between matches (usually) and the rise of social media can lead to a lot of great moments.
Both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic attended Friday night’s Miami Heat game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Both Federer and Djokovic tweeted out photos of their vantage points. Whose seat would you rather have?
Federer was courtside:
Very cool to sit court side during a Miami Heat game, great athletes, great sport, thanks for the entertainment! pic.twitter.com/dEO2ammPWZ

Djokovic was darn near in the nosebleeds:

Guess that’s what an 11-title edge in the Grand Slam department will get for you.
OK, so that’s probably a suite that Djokovic was in, but there’s no better way to take in a basketball game than courtside. And Federer also got to walk out on court and hit a few balls into the crowd, per this hilarious photo:
The special treatment will be little consolation to Federer, who lost the Indian Wells final to Djokovic just last week. Both are still alive and kicking in the ongoing Sony Open.
