PARIS (AP) Television channels France televisions and Eurosport have extended their contracts as official broadcasters of the French Open for a further two years until 2020.

Their current deal with the French Tennis Federation was scheduled to end in 2018, and with the new deal they retain the exclusive rights to show the Roland Garros tournament on all platforms.

No further details of the new deal were given by the French Tennis Federation, but FFT director Jeremy Botton said in a statement Thursday that it was ''very satisfying'' from a ''financial point of view'' and that the annual fee would regularly increase.

He added that fans will continue to benefit from a very high proportion of free-to-air coverage.
