WWE Rumors: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar taking place at Survivor Series
Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar may be on for the headlining match at Survivor Series.
Goldberg’s potential WWE return has been rumored for months, with the latest one coming from F4WOnline. They noted this may be close to an agreement. The former WCW’s WWE relationship had grown with his involvement in WWE 2K17, so this didn’t come as a huge surprise.
Well, the following might because according to legendary wrestling announcer Jim Ross, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar is a “done deal”. It will happen at November’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Another source says that @Goldberg vs @BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at #SurvivorSeries. If true, bravo @wwe

This is a potentially huge development as it would mark Goldberg’s first WWE TV appearance since WrestleMania 20. This came against Lesnar, who he defeated in one of the most disappointing matches at The Show of Shows in recent memory. The Beast Incarnate departed WWE afterward too.
Since then, the 49-year-old has mostly stayed out of the wrestling business, with an exception coming at a Legends of Wrestling event. He also hosted the podcast “Who’s Next with Goldberg“, which got cancelled.
As for Goldberg’s potential WWE return, Ross doesn’t note what day he could return, so that will create some intrigure. It could be at Raw’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, which is on Sunday, October 30. Lesnar and Paul Heyman could make a special appearance and get shockingly interrupted by Goldberg. They could have a standoff and even brawl. The backstory is already there with the failed WrestleMania feud from 12 years ago, so the returning star could say he wants another piece of the UFC 200 winner.
This would also bring intrigue to Raw, which has lost thousands of viewers over the months. The carryover could prove well for WWE.
If it’s not Hell in a Cell, Goldberg could make a potential return on a Raw leading to Survivor Series, and bring one of the hottest moments to the Flagship Show of the year. Either way, we’re in for a special scene.
