WWE Survivor Series is fast approaching as this week’s Raw heads to Glasgow, Scotland.

What a sight that was, huh? Seth Rollins coming to Roman Reigns’ aid to close out last week’s Raw, temporarily reuniting the former Shield brothers, at least in some capacity. Of course Rollins’ face turn meant that at least for the time being, he and Reigns would both be on the right side of justice, but still. These two were at each other’s throats just a few months ago. It’s pretty surreal to see them standing face to face and not trying to kill each other. But more on this later.

On Monday night, Raw takes place in Glasgow, Scotland and will feature more buildup for the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view. There’s been a lot of tension between the two brands lately, especially last week on Raw which featured both Charlotte and the New Day calling out their opposing teams. SmackDown needs to add just one more tag team to their tag team team (wow that’s obnoxious), while Raw still has a lot of sorting out to do. How much of that will we see tonight?

Let’s take a closer look at what to expect with this week’s full Raw preview.

Who Will Join Team Red?

The return of the brand split means the return of meaningful 5-on-5 elimination matches at the pay-per-view that is known for them. The past few years have featured horrible 5-on-5 matches thrown together at the last minute for the sole reason that the PPV necessitates them. But now, the Raw vs SmackDown rivalry has been resurrected, and Survivor Series gets a whole lot more fun by default.

As mentioned before, SmackDown’s teams are all but complete, while Raw has a lot of empty spots to fill. They still have to name the final member of their men’s team, the two final members of the women’s team, and their entire tag-team team aside from the captains, the New Day. It’s impossible to know how many of these team members will be determined tonight, but it could feasibly be a lot of them considering they may want the teams finalized sooner rather than later.

For the men’s team, there are few good options, namely Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn. Rollins would undoubtedly be a huge name to leave off the team and with Owens and Jericho already on it, there would be no clear opponent for him at Survivor Series otherwise. As for Zayn, he nearly eliminated Braun Strowman to earn a spot on the squad and fell just short, so there’s a chance he could still make his way on.

The Women’s roster on both shows are thin, but the Raw women’s team will likely be filled out by Sasha Banks and either Dana Brooke or a returning Emma/Emmalina. And as for the tag-team squad, well, there are just too many open spots to even speculate right now. The more interesting thing will be who exactly is left off.

The Next Move For Cesaro and Sheamus

These two have been a subject of discussion before almost every Raw because we still don’t know what exactly the plan for them is. They are still likely in line for a rematch for the tag team titles after their disqualification victory at Hell in a Cell, but will that really happen anytime soon with the New Day focused on constructing their Survivor Series team? Probably not.

So what’s the plan for them right now? Are they going to continue to bicker back and forth while simultaneously winning matches over teams like the Shining Stars? Because that would actually be a solid way to kill time with them until after Survivor Series. Seeing them fight with each other in the battle royal last week and then squash the Shining Stars was amazing. Something about these two just clicks, which is never a guarantee with an odd couple tag team.

The most pressing matter for these two might be whether or not they’ll be one of the tag teams representing Raw in two weeks. Raw likely needs some more fire power on their team because aside from the New Day, Enzo and Cass, and Gallows and Anderson, they’ll be choosing from jobber teams like the Shining Stars and Golden Truth. Could we see this Swiss-Irish alliance on Team Red come Survivor Series?

Can the Former Brothers Continue to Get Along?

Seth Rollins’ gradual face turn has been intriguing, to say the least. First of all, he has yet to establish himself as a full-blown face because, despite his feud with Kevin Owens, he has yet to say anything on the mic that indicates he’s on the side of justice for good. As of now, he seems to be a sort of anti-hero whose main goal is sticking it to Stephanie McMahon, despite the fact that she may or may not have known about Triple H helping Owens win the Universal title.

But at the very least, his actions indicate he is, in fact, heading toward a full face turn. Feuds are not necessarily just heel vs face anymore as the AJ Styles/Roman Reigns feud exemplified. That’s why the simple fact that Rollins is feuding with Owens isn’t enough to say he’s definitely a face now. But after last week, we’re getting closer to being able to make that conclusion.

Sure, Rollins hates Owens and Jericho so beating them up is standard. But why would he come to Reigns’ aid? If it was the old Rollins he would’ve likely loved to watch Reigns get destroyed, regardless of who was doing it. It will be interesting to see if this is addressed at all tonight. Maybe Rollins’ heart really did grow three sizes that day.
