The Miz to Be Traded to WWE Raw After Contract Renegotiations?
The Miz is presently involved in an ongoing feud with Daniel Bryan. Is the Hollywood A-lister on his way to Raw?
The Miz has been the biggest breakout star for WWE following the brand split. He has risen to the occasion and became the top heel for SmackDown and is presently in the middle of a feud with Daniel Bryan. Things began to get heated between them during an episode of Talking Smack in which Bryan referred to Miz as a coward. This enraged Miz and he cut a seething promo on Bryan that set the internet fan base on fire.
From there, things escalated quickly, with Miz taunting Bryan and eventually refusing to defend his Intercontinental title. Last Tuesday, Miz and Maryse initially walked out of the ring mid-way through the show. Though he eventually returned to beat up James Ellsworth, stakes were still high between them.
On September 17, Miz posted the following tweet indicating a contract renegotiation was in place.
I am happy…I am ecstatic to announce that YOUR #ICTitle Champion has entered long overdue renegotiations with #SDLive GM @WWEDanielBryan.

SmackDown Live’s general manager Daniel Bryan’s response confirmed the news.
It is important for the #ICTitle & its champion to remain on #SDLive. It is true, @mikethemiz and I have begun contract renegotiations.
— Daniel Bryan (@WWEDanielBryan) September 16, 2016
Based on tweets from both these stars, it is safe to assume the negotiations were a failure. Both parties continue to accuse each other for the same.
Know how much you are worth…and put a price tag on it. If @WWE and @WWEDanielBryan can’t see that, I will not say #YES to their terms.

.@mikethemiz “terms” are not realistic, they are utterly delusional. While he does hold the #ICTitle, he is not the ONLY #SDLive Champion.

WWE.com was quick to play up the possibility of a trade to Raw following the incident. Quoting from WWE.com.
Later, in an exclusive Facebook post from a WWE live event in Springfield, Missouri on Saturday evening, The Miz took some time to elaborate on the current breakdown of his contract negotiation, Daniel Bryan’s weaknesses as SmackDown LIVE General Manager and the possibility of a trade to Monday Night Raw.
The story adds an additional layer of intrigue around The Miz and SmackDown as a whole. We saw Jack Swagger being traded to SmackDown in this year’s first roster trade. Is the Hollywood A-lister on his way out? While it will be intriguing to watch this story develop, losing him will be a major blow to SmackDown. He has continued to excel as a great heel on SmackDown and the angle with Bryan is too good to drop. It should be noted, though, that Cageside Seats reported in their rumor roundup that Miz is expected to stay on the Blue Brand.
