Kevin Owens: 'I Want Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania'
On ESPN’s Wednesday night WWE segment, Kevin Owens gave a simple answer on who he wants at WrestleMania.
Kevin Owens has seen his stock ascend over the past month by winning the WWE Universal Championship. He defeated Big Cass, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins to achieve this, which came one week after Finn Balor had been forced to relinquish the belt due to injury.
At WWE Clash of Champions, KO would defeat Rollins to retain the belt, but not after receiving inadvertent help from Stephanie McMahon. She sent out a second referee minutes after the first got knocked out, allowing Owens to recuperate and get the win with the pop-up powerbomb.
Obviously, if The Prizefighter holds the belt until April, he’ll be defending it at WrestleMania 33. It’s six months away, but the build may start for it soon.
On the recent “Off the Top Rope” segment on ESPN, Owens joined Jonathan Coachman as this week’s guest. Potentially the biggest topic brought up had been who the Universal Champion wants at WrestleMania. He gave a short but sweet answer:
“I want Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. It’s as simple as that.”
Easy enough, right?

Before WrestleMania 32, there had been speculation on these two facing each other. Nothing happened, though, as Owens defended the Intercontinental Championship in a Ladder match. Lesnar faced Dean Ambrose in a No Holds Barred match.
With nothing set in stone for the main WrestleMania card, maybe WWE looks into pitting these two against each other. Owens would be a fresh opponent for The Beast Incarnate, who has already faced Ambrose, John Cena, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and The Undertaker over the past few years. The former ROH star has yet to receive a one on one singles match at The Show of Shows.
Would you want to see Kevin Owens vs. Brock Lesnar? How about at WrestleMania 33?
