How Long Will WWE Survivor Series 2016 Be?
How long is the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view expected to last?
On Sunday night, the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view will take place from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada. This is the company’s fourth and final “Big Four” show of the year. Six matches are set to take place, including three 5-on-5 matches, two title bouts, and a “fantasy warfare” matchup.
The main event of Survivor Series will see Brock Lesnar and Goldberg go head-to-head. These two aren’t unfamiliar with one another as they wrestled each other at WrestleMania 20. The former WCW star won this match, but it’s remembered as one of the most disappointing ones in the Show of Show’s history. So, there’s a bit of a hesitation from fans to be fully committed to this match.
Three 5-on-5 traditional elimination matches will take place as well. The men, women, and tag teams of both Raw and SmackDown will go to battle to determine brand supremacy, something that has been somewhat of a difficult sell. However, if the in-ring product delivers in each bout, then it will wipe out the previous poor build.
Brian Kendrick has not only the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to defend, but the cruiserweight division itself. The Raw and SmackDown brands agreed to this stipulation with Kalisto being the one to challenge for the belt. So, if he wins, he could bring the cruiserweight division to the Blue Brand.
For the first time ever, fans will be able to see all of these matches on a four-hour main show for Survivor Series. This begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. However, the Kickoff Show will also be two hours this time around, meaning the action will get underway at 5:00 p.m. ET. It sets up a long day of wrestling and commentary for one of the final PPVs of WWE’s year.
