'Baywatch' Trailer: See Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Star in 2017 Movie (Video)

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will be hitting the beach in his latest movie, “Baywatch.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has become quite the media star over the years. This started out with a handful of movie roles during his time in WWE, which has now transformed into a nonstop schedule for the 44-year-old. Recently, he starred in Disney’s “Moana” movie, which has a 96-percent fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes. For one of his upcoming movies, “Baywatch,” Johnson will be playing a bit of a different role.

Early Thursday morning, The Rock posted a trailer for “Baywatch” on Twitter, which comes out on May 19, 2017. The movie also stars  Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, and Priyanka Chopra. The full clip can be seen below.

This is director Seth Gordon’s take on the former “Baywatch” TV show, which ran from 1989-2001, most notably starring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. According to IMDB.com, the description for Gordon’s film reads, “Two unlikely prospective lifeguards vie for jobs alongside the buff bodies who patrol a beach in California.”

This film will be one of two of Johnson’s projects that are coming out in 2017. He recently posted a clip from the set of the remake of “Jumanji,” which also stars Jack Black and Kevin Hart. This film will be released in theaters on December 22, 2017.

Along with “Baywatch” and “Jumanji,” Johnson will have Season 3 of his hit HBO show, “Ballers” be released. Maybe he’ll even show up at April’s WrestleMania event too.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson continues to be a busy man outside of WWE, and is only seeing his Hollywood star shine brighter with every film he releases. What could be next for him?
