USC women knock off No. 25 Texas A&M 66-62

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Kristen Simon had 20 points and eight rebounds, Sadie Edwards scored 18 points and Southern California beat No. 25 Texas A&M 66-62 on Wednesday for the Aggies' first loss of the season.

USC (6-1) trailed 34-27 at halftime but went on an 8-0 third-quarter run, including Edwards' 3 to tie it, for a 47-44 lead.

Khaalia Hillsman made a layup for Texas A&M with 56 seconds left to knot it at 61-all, but Edwards answered with a long 2-pointer. Danni Williams hit the second of two free throws for Texas A&M with 23 seconds left and Simon made two on the other end to give USC a 65-62 lead with 21 seconds left. Texas A&M missed, Edwards secured the rebound and sank 1 of 2 at the stripe to seal it.

Hillsman led Texas A&M (5-1) with 21 points and Anriel Howard had 10 points and 17 rebounds.
