PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) Providence College has hired Jim Crowley as its women's basketball coach.
Crowley was a three-time Atlantic 10 coach of the year at St. Bonaventure. He replaces Susan Robinson Fruchtl, who resigned in April to become athletic director at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania.
In 20 seasons at St. Bonaventure, the last 16 as head coach, Crowley had a record of 282-239 with two NCAA Tournament berths.
He also had a 39-37 record in three seasons at Division III Keuka College.
