No. 25 Georgia 92, Mercer 45
Freshman guard Khaalidah Miller scored a career-high 16 points to lead No. 25 Georgia in a 92-45 rout over Mercer on Tuesday night.
The Lady Dogs (7-2), who were coming off a 69-53 defeat at the hands of in-state rival Georgia Tech on Dec. 5, shot 37 for 69 from the floor (53.6 percent) and outrebounded the Bears 49-27.
A 3-pointer from Jasmine James with 2:52 remaining in the opening half gave Georgia a 42-16 lead as the Lady Dogs entered halftime leading 47-24.
Meredith Mitchell and Porsha Phillips scored 13 points for the Lady Dogs, while Tamika Willis added 11 and Anne Marie Armstrong 10. Ronika Ransford led Georgia with a career-high 11 rebounds.
Mercer (1-7) shot 17 for 56 from the field (30.4 percent) and turned the ball over 27 times.
Kendra Grant led the Bears with 14 points, while Briana Willams, who came in averaging 18.4 points per game, was held to 10.
