No. 20 Oklahoma State beats Morgan State 73-43

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Brittany Atkins scored 17 points and No. 20 Oklahoma State shook off a slow start in a 73-43 victory over Morgan State on Tuesday night.

Brittney Martin added 14 points and Liz Donohoe 10 for the Cowgirls (4-1), who extended their home winning streak against nonconference opponents to 36.

The Lady Bears (2-4) were led by Tracey Carrington with 15 points and Braennan Farrar with 12. Morgan State shot just 26.2 percent, making 16 of 61 shots, including only 3 of 19 from 3-point range (15.8 percent).

Carrington's jump shot with 4:36 left in the first half had the Bears ahead 18-17 before the Cowgirls closed on a 12-1 run to end the half to lead 29-19. The Cowgirls came out in the second half to shoot a sizzling 65.5 percent and take command.

Including his high school coaching days, the victory was No. 700 for Coach Jim Littell.
