Chelsea Poppens had 18 points and 15 rebounds and Iowa State beat Prairie View A&M 58-50 on Thursday night.
The Cyclones (10-2) won their 56th consecutive nonconference home game despite being outscored in the second half.
The Panthers got the margin to 51-50 with two minutes left, but a three-point play by Poppens with 1:05 remaining gave the Cyclones a 56-50 advantage before a pair of free throws from Kelsey Bolte sealed the victory.
Prairie View started the second half on a 13-5 run and forced the Cyclones into nine early turnovers as they cut the lead to 42-33.

Poppens shot 6 of 8 from the field and made 6 of 9 free throws. The Cyclones shot 21 of 26 from the line overall.
Dominique Smith scored 23 points for the Panthers (4-7).
