No. 17 Iowa St. 80, N. Dakota St. 51

Anna Prins scored 16 of her career-high 22 points in the first half and No. 17 Iowa State opened the second half with a 22-3 run in an 80-51 victory over North Dakota State on Tuesday night.

In their final tuneup before Saturday's Big 12 opener at No. 1 Baylor, the Cyclones (12-2) also got 13 points from Kelsey Bolte and 11 from Hallie Christofferson.

Prins, a 6-foot-7 sophomore, made her first six shots and finished 9 for 12 while playing only 20 minutes.

Iowa State built a 44-30 halftime lead, then quickly put the game out of reach in the opening minutes of the second half. Bolte hit a pair of 3-pointers and Prins added two buckets as the lead ballooned to 66-33.

Whitney Trecker's 12 points led North Dakota State (6-7), which missed 11 of its first 12 shots in the seconod half and shot 30.5 percent for the game.
