Julie Wojta scored 27 points and had 12 steals, leading No. 17 Wisconsin-Green Bay to an 88-53 victory over Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Saturday.

The steals set both a school and Horizon League record. She finished two short of the NCAA record.

''It came within the flow,'' Wojta said. ''Because of the ball pressure and things like that, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was fun for our team to have that run. Our whole team feeds off each other.''

Wojta, a 6-foot senior, made 10 of 17 shots and had five assists and three rebounds in just 25 minutes for the Phoenix (13-0, 3-0 Horizon League).

Courtney Lindfors scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds for Milwaukee (4-9, 0-3).

Milwaukee took a 12-10 lead on Angela Rodriguez' 3-pointer with 14:03 left in the first half. Green Bay scored the next 24 points to take command, opening a 34-12 advantage on Adrian Ritchie's 3-pointer with 7:54 left in the half.

After Rodriguez' 3 pointer, the Panthers didn't make another field goal until early in the second half. Milwaukee missed its final eight shots of the first half and committed 22 turnovers, which led to 31 points for Green Bay by halftime.

''It was pretty amazing,'' Green Bay coach Matt Bollant said. ''That run was awfully good. It was a special run for our team. A good job moving the basketball. Part of that was pressure. Our guards got out on that and made them feel uncomfortable and it helped us get some steals.''

Jenny Gilbertson scored 12 points and Lydia Bauer had 10 points for Green Bay.

Green Bay has beaten Milwaukee 14 consecutive times and has won 29 straight Horizon League regular-season games.

''Just way too many turnovers,'' Milwaukee coach Sandy Botham said. ''That was the difference.''
