No. 12 Florida State women beat James Madison 84-64

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Shakayla Thomas had 17 points and seven rebounds, Chatrice White added 16 points and No. 12 Florida State beat James Madison 84-64 on Sunday.

Senior guard Brittany Brown had nine points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals for Florida State (3-1). She went over 300 career assists to become the only Seminole to amass 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals.

Leticia Romero added 13 points for Florida State, which made 21 of 24 free-throw attempts. The Seminoles led 48-25 at halftime and cruised.

Precious Hall, who entered averaging 26.7 points per game, made just 8 of 28 shots and scored 27 points for James Madison (2-2). Hall hit 4 of 11 3-pointers and Amber Porter added 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting.

James Madison, the reigning Colonial Athletic Association champion, is the third 2015-16 NCAA Tournament team that the Seminoles have faced this season.
