HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Entering the game, Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had not hit a 3-pointer in her past two games.
She ended that drought quickly on Wednesday night to tie Diana Taurasi's career record at UConn.
The Huskies finished with 13 3-pointers and routed the Golden Hurricane 98-60 in the first meeting between the teams.
Mosqueda Lewis has 318 3-pointers in 117 games. It took Taurasi 144 games to reach the mark.
''I don't think I'll ever be at Diana's level in anything except for this, so I'll take it and keep going, because she can't come back and do anything about it,'' joked Mosqueda-Lewis who had 3 3-pointers on Wednesday.
Moriah Jefferson scored 22 points and Morgan Tuck added 21 points to lead No. 2 UConn (13-1, 3-0 American) to its 12th consecutive win after a November loss at Stanford.
Freshmen Kia Nurse and Gabby Williams each added 15 points.
UConn, which played four ranked teams during its first 11 games, does not play another until its Feb. 9 showdown with top-ranked South Carolina.
Jordyn Holmes led Tulsa (6-8, 1-2) with a career-high 17 points and Ashley Clark added 15.
Mosqueda-Lewis had been 0 for 5 from 3-point range since making four of them against Duke on Dec. 29.
She tied Taurasi's record less than a minute into the second half with a shot from the left baseline that extended the Huskies' lead to 66-30.
She was 3 of 8 from 3-point range. Her first 3 gave the Huskies a 3-2 lead, her second gave UConn its first double-digit lead at 16-5 and forced a Tulsa timeout.
The Huskies hit seven of their first 10 shots from behind the arc and led 31-11 lead midway through the first half.
They shot 64.5 percent from the field.
''We were passing it inside and they were getting double teamed, so the big guys did a good job of passing it back out,'' Jefferson said.
UConn dominated inside as well, outscoring Tulsa 54-22 in the paint. Tuck, who had 17 first-half points, led the Huskies on a 16-2 run that gave them a 51-22 lead.
There was one frightening moment in the first half. A dive for a loose ball on the right baseline led to a collision between Nurse and Tulsa's Ashley Hughes and left Hughes with two broken front teeth. The sophomore guard came back into the game a few minutes later, wearing a mouth guard, and hit a 3-pointer.
''I was hoping that the rest of the team would feed off of that toughness,'' Tulsa coach Matilda Mossman said. ''I think our freshman, Jordyn Holmes, did. When she sees Ashley Hughes go down like that and come back in the game, I think that tells Jordyn Holmes, hey I've got to go be better.''
It did little to slow UConn, which shot 68 percent from the floor in the first half and led 61-28 at the break.
Jefferson continued her hot shooting, making eight of her nine attempts from the floor and all four of her 3-pointers.
She is 13 of 16 from behind the arc in her past five games.
''I think the confidence level that she has right now is such that it's allowing her to be as good as her talent,'' UConn coach Geno Auriemma said.
The Huskies improved their record to 21-0 in the two-year history of the American Athletic Conference, 24-0 counting their run through last year's conference tournament.

Tulsa: The Golden Hurricane came in averaging more than 10 steals per game, and had 11 against UConn, forcing 14 UConn turnovers.
UConn: The win improves UConn's record at its home-away-from-home court to 146-13. That's a winning rate of 91.82 percent in Hartford, where UConn has won 72 of its past 75 games. The Huskies have won 94 percent of their games played at Gampel Pavilion on campus, where they are 298-19.
