Will Nevada discipline Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier for press conference brawl?

The UFC has already said publicly that Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier could face "ramifications" for their roles in an ugly brawl during a press event Monday in Las Vegas. But the company might not be their only worry.

Franciso Aguilar, chairman of the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC), told UFC Tonight's Ariel Helwani that the Nevada attorney general is investigating the incident and the NAC is waiting to hear back to determine what course of action it will take, if any.

Aguilar said the commission has not had to deal with anything like this recently, so they don't have any hard-and-fast regulations when it comes to levying a punishment.

Kirk Hendrick, the UFC's chief legal officer, told UFC.com on Monday that Jones and Cormier will face discipline from the organization.

"This is certainly not a proud moment for the UFC organization,” Hendrick stated. “We expect more from our athletes, especially these two gentlemen, who are very well-trained and highly educated professionals. Their actions were clearly a violation of the UFC’s code of conduct."

Both Jones and Cormier have both apologized, but admitted they felt like they did what they had to given the situation.

"I accept responsibility for what I did," Jones said at a fan event Tuesday in Los Angeles. "If the UFC is going to fine us, I accept my responsibility and I accept my punishment."
