UFC Returns to Cincinnati for Fight Night Event May 10
For the first time since 2007, the UFC will return to the 'Queen City' of Cincinnati, OH for an upcoming UFC Fight Night card that will air on FOX Sports 1.
The show will take place at the U.S. Bank Arena on Saturday, May 10 with fights for the card expected to be announced the coming weeks.
The last time the UFC landed in Cincinnati was for UFC 77, which saw Anderson Silva defeat hometown favorite Rich Franklin to retain his middleweight title. Over 16,000 fans packed the arena in Cincinnati to witness the event.
Ohio is home to several UFC fighters including top ten ranked welterweight Matt Brown, who will be coming back from injury around the time that the May card will be held so he could be a viable headliner for the show. Stipe Miocic and Jessica Eye both hail from Cleveland while there are several competitors from the Indiana area only a few hours away as well.
Tickets for the event will go on sale March 21 at 10am ET. The UFC will announce a main event and further details for the show in the next few weeks.
