UFC going back to Macao in August, Japan show set for September

The UFC did so well Saturday in Macao that it'll be headed back there again before the end of the summer.

Mark Fischer, the managing director of UFC Asia, announced at the UFC Fight Night post-fight press conference that the UFC will hold another show at The Venetian in Macao on Aug. 23. Fischer promised "an even bigger event."

This card, the UFC's second strip to Macao in as many years, sold out CotaiArena. Dong Hyun Kim of Korea defeated England's John Hathaway with a spinning back elbow in the third round, a finish that's already being talked about as a Knockout of the Year candidate.

Fischer also announced the UFC would be going back to Japan on Sept. 20 with "a major event" at Saitama Super Arena. The last time the organization visited Japan was March 3, 2013, almost exactly one year ago.

When asked about a show in mainland China, Fischer said the UFC was working on it. He predicted that would happen in 2015.
