Pearson out to entertain vs Guillard

For the first time since earning a doctor stoppage against veteran Aaron Riley at UFC 105, British lightweight Ross “The Real Deal” Pearson will step into the Octagon on home soil when he squares off with Melvin Guillard in the co-main event of tomorrow’s UFC Fight Night event in Manchester, England.
With Michael Bisping being forced to withdraw from the card due to injury, the 29-year-old Pearson, who won the lightweight competition on Season 8 of The Ultimate Fighter, becomes the headlining local act on the fight card that features seven Brits in total, including light heavyweight knockout artist Jimy Manuwa and TUF 15 prospect Andy Ogle.
Fox Sports correspondent Gareth Davies caught up with a pumped up Pearson following Friday’s weigh-ins to get his thoughts on fighting at home for the first time in four years and sharing the cage with the ever-dangerous “Young Assassin.”
