Paige VanZant's sultry routine lands her in the finals of 'Dancing with the Stars'

May 17, 2016

UFC strawweight Paige VanZant has reached the finals of "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 on the heels of another pair of outstanding performances capped off by a steamy tango alongside partner Mark Ballas.

VanZant has been one of the top performers all season long and already made it further in the competition than two previous UFC Hall of Famers -- Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture -- who also appeared on the long running reality series.

In her first dance on Monday night, VanZant received another perfect score from the judges, who continuously applaud her technique and athleticism in every performance.

The temperature raised a few degrees by the end of VanZant's second dance, which featured a tango with Ballas that earned her a 29 out of 30 for the dance.

Judges scoring along with fan votes determine the competition and at the end of the night, VanZant and Ballas were one of only three couples left standing for next week's finale.

VanZant will now compete with Ginger Zee and Nyle DiMarco for the "Dancing with the Stars" season 22 championship.

Another honor that has already landed on VanZant's resume this season is she is the lone remaining athlete in the competition after Pittsburgh Steelers wide out Antonio Brown was eliminated on the most recent episode.

The finals for "Dancing with the Stars" kicks off next Monday night at 8pm ET on ABC.
