Perpetuo (17-3) is a veteran fighter of the Brazilian MMA scene and he has gone undefeated in his last nine fights overall. Perpetuo trains out of the Nova Uniao camp alongside UFC stalwarts such as Renan Barao and Jose Aldo so he definitely has the right team to help him prepare for his UFC debut.
Mein is returning to action after almost a year away from the Octagon due to injury. Mein stormed into the UFC with a decisive TKO win over the always tough Dan Miller before falling to Matt Brown in his other appearance in the Octagon in April 2013.
Mein and Perpetuo will likely end up on the preliminary portion of the fight card, although final bout orders have not been announced by the UFC as of yet.
