Jason’s slasher film released
UPDATE:
The man is nicknamed after a famous slasher, after all, so we can’t be too surprised his evening ended with someone dripping blood and needing medical attention. It wasn’t exactly how Rony Jason wanted to go out, but after losing to Jeremy Stephens by head kick knockout at last Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson event, Jason was inconsolable.
He was crying as he left the cage and past press row, and still couldn’t gain control of his emotions as he went backstage, finally culminating in his smashing a plexiglass wall that sliced up his left arm.
The video has finally surfaced, and you can see the emotion overtaking him as the UFC lightweight processes his first defeat in four years. After a while, he needs an outlet, and the closest inanimate object is a wall that stands no chance.
(Rony Jason incident occurs at 6:04)
Unfortunately, his left arm was also a victim. Jason needed a total of 35 stitches to close all of his cuts.
UFC president Dana White said Jason won’t be punished for
his outburst, and you can see here that his anguish is real and
painful. The fight game is unforgiving, all of those weeks of hard
work and sacrifice going up in smoke in seconds. It’s a
wonder this sort of reaction doesn’t happen more often.

Saturday, November 9th
Rony Jason’s evening went from bad to worse after Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event, culminating in an emergency trip to the hospital. After suffering his first UFC loss via head kick to Jeremy Stephens, a frustrated Jason put his left elbow through a plexiglass wall backstage, slicing open his arm in the process.
According to Jason’s team, the fighter needed 35 stitches to close several wounds he suffered in the incident. It could have been even worse, as it was originally feared that he had broken a bone.

Jason hadn’t lost in nearly four years, since a TKO due to a doctor stoppage in Dec. 2009.
The 29-year-old entered the promotion in 2012 after winning the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, defeating Godofredo Pepey in the final.
He had been 3-0 in the organization until clashing with Stephens.
On the bright side, UFC president Dana White said he wouldn’t face any additional repercussion for his backstage outburst.
“Listen, this stuff happens,” White said. “Especially young guys. A big loss like that. A devastating loss like that, you do stupid stuff sometimes. I don’t think he expected to slice his arm open and get hurt, but it happens.”
