Can Rousey beat men? McCall insulted; Schaub's 'seen her destroy men'

UFC flyweight contender Ian "Uncle Creepy" McCall seemed to take personal offense to the idea of women's bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey competing with men in practice or competition during a recent interview (full video below).

UFC analyst Joe Rogan has said he believes Rousey would be able to beat about half of her male counterparts in the UFC's bantamweight division — an opinion Rousey didn't back away from this week.

McCall disagreed. Strongly.

"They say all these comparisons to her fighting men . . . I'm sorry, it's not going to happen," he said in an interview published to Youtube this week.

"I come from wrestling. Before there was a big female scene in wrestling, they would wrestle men. And it's not going to happen. A good man will not lose to Ronda Rousey."

Furthermore, McCall went so far as to say that he would dominate the former two-time Judo Olympian in her base style. "I could put a judo gi on, you're an Olympian. You're not throwing me," he said (though BJ Penn may disagree).

"It's not going to happen. I will throw you on your head. Pretty simple. And, you weigh more than me."

McCall then went on to demean Rousey's accomplishments in MMA, seemingly solely because she is a woman fighting women. "Ronda's definitely not the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world," he insisted.

"She's the best woman on the planet. That's cute. Cool. Well, you know, we're doing men things."

UFC heavyweight and The Fighter and the Kid co-host Brendan Schaub has spent a lot of time with Rousey in the gym and couldn't have disagreed more with McCall's analysis of her abilities, during his latest podcast episode. According to the big man, he's seen Ronda get plenty "Rowdy" with male fighters, on the mats.

"I like Ian. He'd be surprised," Schaub began.

"If he put on a gi, Ronda would rag-doll him around the gym. He would be surprised. I've seen her rag-doll bigger, very skilled fighters. MMA, professional fighters. I've seen her destroy men. Fighters who were way bigger than him. She could definitely beat some of the 135ers in the UFC."
