Brock Lesnar calls Jon Jones 'unprofessional' after doping violation
Jon Jones was flagged for a potential anti-doping policy violation from an out-of-competition test administered on June 16 by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) and immediately removed from his Saturday night headline bout against Daniel Cormier.
Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt were promoted to the UFC 200 main event instead.
Jones' misfortune is Brock Lesnar's gain. But the former heavyweight champion didn't sound happy after a drug test knocked the original headline fight out of the historical card.
"It's totally unprofessional of anybody of this caliber to do something like that," Lesnar told FOX Sports on Thursday.
Lesnar said he didn't find out that he was the main event until earlier this morning, but he obviously had no problem with taking the top spot after also headlining UFC 100 back in 2009.

And while Lesnar says he was happy for the spot, he didn't enjoy that it came at Cormier's expense, who was itching for a chance to face Jones and avenge a previous loss to him from 2015.
"It's unfortunate for DC. I feel real bad about DC," Lesnar continued. "Guys work hard going through training camps and they put lots of time into it. That's the guy that really gets the short end of the stick on this deal."
Of course, Lesnar isn't complaining about his good fortune to land in the headliner in his return to the UFC after five years away from the sport.
"Like I said, it's unfortunate, it's unprofessional. That's just the way it is," Lesnar said. "What else do you want me to say? Merry Christmas to Brock Lesnar."
