Atlanta's UFC Fight Night books Amagov-High, Houston-Smith and Nijem-Edwards
A trio of fights has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Atlanta including a welterweight scrap between knockout artist Adlan Amagov and Jason High, who has recently put together a two-fight winning streak inside the Octagon.
UFC officials announced the fights on Sunday including Amagov vs. High as well as Brian Houston taking on Trevor Smith and former Ultimate Fighter finalist Ramsey Nijem taking on Justin Edwards.
The welterweight bout between Amagov and High showcases two of the top prospects at 170 pounds in the UFC. Amagov is considered to be one of the nastiest and most creative strikers in the division, who pulled off one of the most devastating knockouts of the year when he finished TJ Waldburger at UFC 167 in Houston.
Also on the card, two recent UFC newcomers will look to establish themselves when Brian Houston tries to erase the memory of a recent loss to Derek Brunson at the UFC Fight For The Troops show while Trevor Smith will look to bounce back after dropping a close decision to Ed Herman in his UFC debut.
Finally, lightweight Ramsey Nijem will try to avoid a dreaded third loss in a row when he returns at UFC Fight Night on Jan 15 when he takes on ultra tough Ohio native Justin Edwards.
All three fights have been added to the upcoming Atlanta card with more bouts expected to be added in the coming days.
