Alexander Gustafsson retires from UFC in April Fool's Day Instagram post

UFC light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson said that he was retiring from mixed martial arts in an Instagram post this morning, and we believed him for about 10 seconds until we realized it was April Fool's Day.
Gustafsson confirmed shortly thereafter that it was, indeed, a joke.

So just in case anyone thought the third-ranked light heavyweight in the world was stepping away from the game in the prime of his career â jokes on you.
