Serena, Isner to play Hopman Cup

Serena Williams and John Isner will team up for the United States in the Hopman Cup.

The team tennis-style event and tune-up for the Australian Open will take place in January and features mixed teams from eight nations. Each matchup features men's singles, women's singles and mixed doubles.

The field boasts a strong group of players and several Grand Slam winners, including Serbia's Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic, Justine Henin of Belgium, Australia's Lleyton Hewitt and Francesca Schiavone of Italy.
