Rain washes out Thursday play at Kooyong Classic

Rain washed out Thursday's play at the Kooyong Classic exhibition tournament, forcing organizers to plan an eight-game ''pro-set'' match on Friday.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and Austrian Jurgen Melzer will play that format to produce a semifinalist to take on France's Gael Monfils for a spot in Saturday's final.

The other semifinal will be between Lleyton Hewitt and Russian Nikolay Davydenko.
