Rising Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has split with coach Simon Rea two weeks after stunning top-ranked Rafael Nadal to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals.
Kyrgios announced on his website Saturday that he was switching to two Australian coaches -- Josh Eagle and Todd Larkham -- to spend more time at his home in the Australian capital, Canberra.
The 19-year-old Kyrgios had worked with Rea, a New Zealander based in Melbourne, since winning the Australian Open junior title in January 2013.
Playing in only his fifth major tournament, Kyrgios became the first man to reach the quarterfinals in his Wimbledon debut in 10 years.
