Cornet beats Bouchard in Strasbourg

Third-seeded Alize Cornet of France beat Eugenie Bouchard of Canada 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-3 on Friday to reach the Strasbourg International final.
Cornet broke the Canadian teenager twice in the last set and saved six break points in the clay-court, warm-up tournament for the French Open.
Cornet will face Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic. Hradecka beat Italian qualifier Flavia Pennetta 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Earlier Friday, Pennetta defeated Misaki Doi of Japan 7-5, 6-3, and Hradecka downed Johanna Larsson of Sweden 7-5, 6-3 in quarterfinals postponed because of the rain Thursday.
