Whitbread: Great to be back
The 27-year-old USA international has got four games under his belt having hobbled out of the 3-1 loss to Chelsea in August. And having survived 83 minutes on his comeback in the victory over Newcastle on 10 December, Whitbread has featured in the next three games where the Canaries have drawn twice and most recently lost to Tottenham. "I've enjoyed a good few games in a short space of time and they keep coming thick and fast, and we've got to pick up as many points as possible," Whitbread told the Pink'Un newspaper. "It was good to get the few games in quick succession. The first couple I was pulling a few caravans but I felt a bit better towards the end against Spurs and I feel like I'm getting some legs back, so I'm looking forward to Fulham [on New Year's Eve]." Norwich are sitting comfortably in 11th position in the Premier League and Whitbread added: "All the games are massive but a lot of people do say you've got to beat the teams around you in this league. Fulham is a massive game for us - every game is."
