Westwood in possession - Bruce
The free transfer capture from Coventry in July has had to wait for his opportunity, but with first-choice number ones Craig Gordon and Simon Mignolet both out injured, Westwood has not disappointed. Westwood has been beaten only twice in over three and a half hours of football since replacing Mignolet just after half-time in the 2-2 home draw with Aston Villa at the end of last month. A delighted Bruce told The Northern Echo: "Fair play to Keiren, he's stuck at it and trained really well. "When he's got his chance he handled his Premier League debut very well and proved he's a very good keeper, so thankfully all that hard work in the summer getting him has paid off. "It's his chance now. If he keeps performing like he is, it's quite straightforward. By the looks of him he's going to take some shifting because he's looking very capable."
