Welcome lift for winger Jarvis

The England winger had struggled for consistency in the early part of this season and was dropped to the bench by Wolves boss Mick McCarthy for the last two matches. However, he put in an assured display as a second-half substitute against the Latics and has welcomed a much-needed boost in confidence. "I was pleased to get on and play 45 minutes and get back to what I do best," Jarvis told Wolves' official website. "That's trying to supply the team with opportunities to score. "No one likes not playing but there is some great competition for places here. You've got to work hard to get into the team and, once you're in there, work even harder to stay there. "I just wanted to go out and get back to the form that I know I am capable of and put my stamp down on the game. "It's been hard the last few weeks for all of us. But to get back to it and have a good 45 minutes and help the team to a much-needed win is a great confidence-booster for me."
