Wales recalled defenders James Collins and Danny Gabbidon on Thursday for next month's European Championship qualifier against Montenegro.

Aston Villa's Collins sat out Wales' last match because of a calf injury and missed the previous game to attend the birth of his child. Gabbidon has not played since April but had groin surgery after last season and was an unused substitute for West Ham in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Gareth Bale, Darcy Blake, David Edwards, Andy Dorman, Simon Church and Ched Evans are the other players in the 25-man squad who did not take part in last week's 5-1 friendly win over Luxembourg.

Wales plays Montenegro in the teams' opening Euro 2012 qualifier on Sept. 3 in Podgorica.
