Villarreal's Cazorla out indefinitely to injury
Villarreal midfielder Santiago Cazorla will not play for an indefinite period due to a back injury which has flared up, according to chief team doctor Juan Albors.
The doctors have not given a date for his return.
"We have taken him to a clinic in Jaen so he can do some rehabilitation sessions," Albors said on Tuesday. "We hope it won't be long but we can't put a date on his recovery, although in theory surgery has been ruled out."
Villarreal might, however, see midfielder Ariel Ibagaza back from injury for the Spanish league game against Tenerife on Sunday.
Villarreal had its first win of the season at the weekend, beating Malaga 2-1.
