French Under-19 captain Gueida Fofana and Jamaican international striker Omar Cummings are on Houllier's radar. Le Havre midfielder Fofana led his country to glory in the European Under-19 Championships this summer. He is regarded as one of his country's most exciting prospects and is well known to Houllier through his previous role as France's technical director. Cummings, 28, who plays for Colorado Rapids, is expected to undergo a trial with a view to initially joining Villa on loan. He has impressed in the Major League Soccer in America and netted five goals in 20 appearances for Jamaica. Houllier has intimated he will look to bring in new blood next month as Villa gear up for a battle to stay above the relegation zone. The former Liverpool boss has already indicated any unhappy players could be on their way with Richard Dunne, Stephen Ireland and John Carew possibly heading through the exit door. Carew was not considered for the 4-0 drubbing at Manchester City after telling Houllier he was "not fit enough" after arriving back late from a break in his native Norway. Ireland has a knee problem while Emile Heskey (ankle) and Luke Young (hip) remain on the casualty list. One piece of encouraging news for Houllier is that winger Ashley Young should be fit for Sunday's visit to champions Chelsea. Young has missed the last two matches with a knee problem. Houllier confirmed: "Ashley trained for the first time yesterday. I think he'll be available for the Chelsea game."
